As a journalist and web editor I’ve worked on both online and print titles at regional and national level, including Guardian.co.uk. I’ve reported on all sorts of stories – from the Joanna Yeates murder case to the Bristol riots, the outbreak of swine flu and a story about a cat with six toes.
I’m currently group online editor at Midland News Association, publishers of The Express & Star. Previously I was the digital publisher of ThisisBristol.co.uk and also regional publisher for Northcliffe Digital’s network of “This is” and hyperlocal websites in the South West.
I studied BA English at the University of Plymouth, where I was editor the university magazine. I was later awarded the Guardian’s Scott Trust bursary to study a postgraduate diploma in journalism at City University, London.
I love to travel, have a healthy interest in all things tech and I’ve published a book – although it was ghostwritten so you won’t see my name on it. One day I’ll write one that does.
