About

Abigail_Edge As a journalist and web editor I’ve worked on both online and print titles at regional and national level, including Guardian.co.uk. I’ve reported on all sorts of stories – from the Joanna Yeates murder case to the Bristol riots, the outbreak of swine flu and a story about a cat with six toes.

I’m currently group online editor at Midland News Association, publishers of The Express & Star. Previously I was the digital publisher of ThisisBristol.co.uk and also regional publisher for Northcliffe Digital’s network of “This is” and hyperlocal websites in the South West.

I studied BA English at the University of Plymouth, where I was editor the university magazine. I was later awarded the Guardian’s Scott Trust bursary to study a postgraduate diploma in journalism at City University, London.

I love to travel, have a healthy interest in all things tech and I’ve published a book – although it was ghostwritten so you won’t see my name on it. One day I’ll write one that does.

I’ve been blogging on WordPress since 2008 and you can find me elsewhere on the web here:
